SO HOW DID ALL OF THIS HAPPEN?
We often get asked and find ourselves telling this story. So here it goes. Kinky Tuesdays started as an idea between two long-term kinksters asking each other, "You know what this town needs...?"
We started slowly, by asking the manager at Numbers Nightclub if we could have one night a month, maybe. We asked other members in the community if they would like to partner with us. That didn't happen, so we have been making it up as we go along. We went from once a month, to twice a month and eventually we were every Tuesday of the year. People told us we wouldn't last three months. At three months, people said we wouldn't last another six. Thank you to all of the support and encouragement of the community, we have been in full swing since February of 2014. Kinky Tuesdays enjoys between 80 and 200 supporters every Tuesday night. We have made collaborations and Partnerships with so many communities. We have strong support from LGBTQI, pet play, circus, artists, vendors, photographers, Shibari, leather community, BDSM, polyamorous folks, and more.
Every Tuesday night, we have been offering classes. Our classes are quite diverse. We have Shibari classes for the beginner to the intermediate. We have had flexi yoga and belly dancing. We have had BDSM 101. We have had group discussions and meet ups. If you follow us on social media, you'll get the most up-to-date events.
We believe that our success is the direct result of being open to exploring and evolving what we do. We have always welcomed feedback and suggestions. We have had publication written about us. We have been interviewed on radio. We have a tremendous social media and word-of-mouth following. The most common feedback we get is how welcoming and accepting we are for everyone who walks through the door. We have a well-established family of choice that supports and keeps everyone safe. We have strict protocols and rules to keep it safe, sane, consensual and sober. You can find those on the website and other social media.
We are excited about our alliances and partnerships with other communities and businesses in the Houston area. Our biggest nights are the circus nights. Feel free to read further on the website about our past events and theme nights. www.kinkytuesdays.com/kinky-circus.html
Thank you for taking the time to get to know us better. If we have not introduced ourselves to you personally, walk up and get a handshake, a smile or a hug. And remember, always Find Your Bliss!
OUR VISION
Since the very inception, Kinky Tuesdays has strived to provide a welcoming and safe space for individuals across the continuum from the brand new and curious to long-term, life-long Kinksters. In addition, KT has a vision of bringing together communities. We emphasize welcoming and accepting everyone. The joke is that we tell people no drugs, no drunks, no drama and leave your ego at the door. Also, we want to continue to grow. We provide education and collaboration. This is not my event, it is ours, which includes all of you! We are grateful.
